Where as the “Pair” series deal with the social gap between two individuals “Crowd” addresses group relationships.

In each painting a group of partial figures float in an ambiguous space, divided from one another with bold strokes of color, often enclosed into irregular cage-like boxes that separate them in an environment without pattern. The individual figures, many drawn through wet paint, move in and out of the painted surface, detaching them not only from the surrounding area but also from the very space they take up.
